Review Policy

Kebijakan Review 

Setiap naskah yang dikirimkan ke Jendela Kota: Jurnal Perencanaan dan Pengembangan Wilayah dan Kota (JEKOTA) akan melalui proses peer review oleh reviewer yang memiliki keahlian di bidang terkait.

JEKOTA menerapkan sistem double-blind peer review, di mana identitas penulis dan reviewer disembunyikan untuk menjamin objektivitas dan independensi dalam proses penilaian.

Tahapan Proses Review

  1. Pemeriksaan Awal (Desk Review)
    Editor melakukan evaluasi awal terhadap kesesuaian naskah dengan fokus dan scope jurnal, serta kesesuaian dengan template dan pedoman penulisan.
  2. Proses Review
    Naskah yang lolos seleksi awal akan dikirimkan kepada reviewer untuk dilakukan penilaian terhadap substansi, metodologi, kebaruan (novelty), dan kontribusi ilmiah.
  3. Keputusan Editorial
    Berdasarkan hasil review, editor akan mengambil keputusan sebagai berikut:
    • Diterima tanpa revisi
    • Diterima dengan revisi minor
    • Diterima dengan revisi mayor
    • Ditolak
  4. Revisi oleh Penulis
    Penulis wajib memperbaiki naskah sesuai komentar reviewer dalam waktu yang ditentukan.
  5. Keputusan Akhir
    Keputusan akhir ditetapkan oleh Dewan Editor berdasarkan hasil review dan revisi yang dilakukan.

Kebijakan Plagiarisme

JEKOTA menjunjung tinggi integritas akademik. Setiap naskah akan diperiksa menggunakan perangkat deteksi plagiarisme seperti:

  • Turnitin
  • Grammarly
  • Google Scholar

Naskah yang terindikasi plagiarisme akan langsung ditolak.

Etika Review

  • Reviewer wajib menjaga kerahasiaan naskah
  • Reviewer memberikan penilaian secara objektif dan konstruktif
  • Reviewer menghindari konflik kepentingan
  • Editor memastikan proses review berjalan adil dan transparan

Peer Review Policy

Every manuscript submitted to Jendela Kota: Journal of Regional and Urban Planning and Development (JEKOTA) undergoes a peer review process conducted by a reviewer with relevant expertise.

JEKOTA applies a double-blind peer review system, where both authors’ and reviewers’ identities are concealed to ensure objectivity and independence in the evaluation process.

Review Process Stages

  1. Initial Screening (Desk Review)
    The Editor evaluates the manuscript for its relevance to the journal’s scope, formatting compliance, and basic quality.
  2. Peer Review Process
    Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to a reviewer for evaluation of content quality, methodology, novelty, and scientific contribution.
  3. Editorial Decision
    Based on the review results, the Editor makes one of the following decisions:
    • Accept without revision
    • Accept with minor revisions
    • Accept with major revisions
    • Reject
  4. Revision by Authors
    Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to reviewer comments within the specified timeframe.
  5. Final Decision
    The final decision is made by the Editorial Board based on the review results and revised manuscript.

Plagiarism Policy

JEKOTA strictly prohibits plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection tools such as:

  • Turnitin
  • Grammarly
  • Google Scholar

Manuscripts with indications of plagiarism will be rejected immediately.

Review Ethics

  • Reviewers must maintain confidentiality
  • Reviews must be objective and constructive
  • Reviewers must avoid conflicts of interest
  • Editors ensure a fair and transparent review process
